REGULATIONS


A. Late Submission
·           A 10% deduction per day of total coursework marks (excluding weekends and public holidays).
·           Late submission between 5 to 10 days, results in a 50% deduction of total coursework marks.
·           Late submission past 10 days results in an automatic 0% for coursework and the student will be barred from the final examination.

B. Deliverables

Students must submit all materials supporting their coursework listed in the deliverable section.


  • Text Box: Plagiarism is presenting somebody else’s work as your own. It includes: copying information directly from the Web or books without referencing the material; submitting joint coursework as an individual effort; copying another student’s coursework; stealing coursework from another student and submitting it as your own. Suspected plagiarism will be investigated and if found to have occurred will be dealt with according to the procedures set down by the university.The coursework must be done in group of not more than 6 students and must be entirely your own work. Please make sure that you are aware of the rules concerning plagiarism. If you are unclear about them, please consult your program coordinator/lecturer.





  • The coursework should exhibit formal research skills i.e. with a table of content, proper citations, references, and appendixes.
  • The coursework write up must be able to demonstrate critical analysis and application of both theory and practical issues to the companies that you have selected.
  • Student may include additional relevant data/information apart from the proposed guidelines in conjunction to your research. Additional marks will be awarded for such attempt.
  • Your coursework should not be more than 3500 words.
  • Use one and half spacing with 12-point font and New Times Roman. Fully justified. Pages must be numbered. Appropriate APA Referencing System will be employed where applicable.
  • Your assignment submission should be via Turnitin report which include the cover page with all the group members names in it. (hard & soft copy)
  • You should stappler your completed coursework with the coursework cover as the 1st page – upon request by the tutor.
  • A CD containing the softcopy version of your coursework should be submitted as well - upon request by the tutor.
  • The total marks for this assignment is 100%, but it carries 30% of overall assessment for the written report.

Students can get information about the organization from the company website, reading any article written on the company current issues in the newspaper, journal or social media or from any employee personnel of the organization that could be your parents, brother or sister, uncle or aunty. Students have to critically analyse and evaluate the organization based on:

i.      Major conflict face by the organization – . It can be internal conflict among employees and employers or external conflict, the organization with external party such as competitor, government, media, suppliers, customers or etc.
ii.     Discuss on the conflict and Identify which Conflict modes has been applied by the organization based on Thomas-Kilmann Model to resolve the conflict.
iii.    Negotiation approaches – which negotiation approaches that the organization apply and explain on the tactic use for each approaches. (Distributive or Integrative Approach).
iv.   Culture - Handy describe that the four dimension are usually tied to a particular design of the organization and structure. Analyze which Handy’s dimension culture is applied in the organization. Justify your answer with appropriate examples. 
v.    Power – Discuss the type of power applied in negotiation by the top management personnel in the organization. 

Students are required to get detail information about the organization so that they can apply and incorporate them in the assignment.
