Overview
As most of us know that
apple is one of the most cultivated and consumed fruits of the world. In fact
apple is ranked 1st by the medical persons. There is an old well
know proverb that “an apple a day keeps the doctor away”. Apple is also called
a “wonder food”
Nutrients in apple
Apple is full of
antioxidants, dietary fiber and flavanoids. Phytonutrients and antioxidants are
helpful in reducing the risk of various diseases like diabetes, heart disease, hypertension
and cancer. Apple is called “Nutritional powerhouse” and the nutrients it has
it deserve it. Apple contains the following nutrients: -

Vitamin C :-
It boosts the body’s
hostility against infectious agents. It also blocks some of the destruction
caused by radicals.

Minerals: -
Apple also contains
minerals like phosphorus, calcium and potassium.

B-complex vitamins: -

vitamins play an important role in maintaining the level of red Blood cell level
and maintain the nervous system in good working condition.

service has researched about dietary fiber and it has discovered that the diet
which is high in fiber is very helpful in preventing from a certain disease and
it also helps in maintaining a good cholesterol level in your blood.

Benefits of using apple
are uncountable but few of them are listed below: -
(i)
Improving neurological health: -
Research conducted by a known university has disclosed that apple
contains an antioxidant which is called “quercetin” that helps in reducing the
chances of cellular death which is caused by oxidation and inflammation of
neurons.
(ii)
Preventing Dementia: -
Research conducted by another well known university researchers
discovered that apples are helpful in protecting neuron cells against oxidative
stress-induced neurotoxicity”. It also subtracts the risk of developing
neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease.
(iii)
Risk of stroke: -
Using apple is
also very helpful in reducing the risk of heart stroke. A study was conducted which included about
9000 men and women. The study showed that the people who used the apples over
30-year period had lower risk for stroke than the others who didn’t used the
apples such a longer period of time. So the researchers finished their work
saying that usage of apples reduces the risk of stroke.

Level of Cholesterol: -
Apple
use maintains a healthy level of cholesterol in your blood. Another research
was conducted on older women in another university. The researchers observed
that the women who used apples everyday had about 25% less bad cholesterol and
about 5% more good condition of cholesterol level after six months.
(v)
Diabetes: -
It also helps in lowering
risk of diabetes. Another research conducted on about two Lac people and they
were served 3 times apples in a week. Researchers found about 10% lower risk of
Diabetes.
(vi)
Breast Cancer: -
The evidence is increasing day by day that
usage of apples daily reduces the risk of Breast Cancer.
According to well-Known researcher Liu
“keeping in view of the research work done regarding the apples, usage of
apples will provide more phenolics, that is good for health and it is already
proved” the researchers have encouraged the people to use more n more apples
daily.
